Notes from the van
The Centennial Electric Blog
Practical answers to the questions we get asked on the doorstep, written for homeowners rather than for other electricians.
Most of what homeowners want to know about their electrical system is genuinely knowable, and almost none of it is written down anywhere useful. This is where we put the explanations that come up again and again on jobs across Centennial and the south metro: how to tell whether your service has headroom, what an inspector is actually looking at, why a breaker trips, what a charger install really involves, and which of the things a home inspector flagged are urgent.
Nothing here is a sales pitch disguised as an article. If reading a post saves you a service call, that is a good outcome and we would rather you had the information. When a job does need a licensed electrician, the post will say so plainly and tell you why.
Rather Just Ask Someone?
Articles cover the general case, and your house is a specific one. If you have a question about your own panel, wiring or project, call and ask.
Licensed, insured and permit-handling electricians serving Centennial and the south metro.
